Compensation range is $60,320 - 68,640 per year
Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

The Wellness Coordinator will provide leadership for a comprehensive wellness program for patients and staff. In addition, this position is responsible for all operations of the greenhouse which include general maintenance oversight, the growing of plants and conducting classroom education sessions with the patients, provide activities that teach basic horticulture techniques. Greenhouse services will be provided to patients in Residential, Adolescent, Partial, and /or Intensive Outpatient treatment. The greenhouse coordinator will oversee building decorative indoor greenery, flowers and foliage, replacement.
Responsibilities
- Leads a comprehensive wellness program.
- Coordinates, plans, and facilitates health and fitness activities and programs for patients and employees.
- Lead education classes for all levels of patient treatment
- Leads a Physical Education program for the Adolescent Unit
- Plans and implements classes and counsel in personal training techniques that promote healthy and sober lifestyles.
- Develops promotion and publicity plans for wellness and fitness programs in all levels of care.
- Develop/upgrade path for Patient and Employee Fitness centers
- Work with Marketing team and lead offsite SUD education in community
- Creation and update employee wellness program
- Work with other Wellness program team (Greenhouse, Yoga, etc) to create an integrated approach to Wellness
- Development of budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness program.
- Provide educational presentations and training programs to all staff
- Develop communication tools and training programs regarding wellness and other health matters, including social media opportunities
- Assist in the development of a culture of wellness for both patients and staff
- Work with Bookstore, Vending Machines vendor, cafeteria to provide healthy snack options.
- Facilitates horticulture education groups and develop program activities for patients.
- Documentation of all services provided within given timeframes.
- Facilitate all patient greenhouse therapeutic activities.
- Collaborates with purchasing department in purchasing equipment and materials for patient activities and maintenance of Green House, building greenery, flowers, foliage. Schedule deliveries.
- Collaborates with maintenance department to ensure all areas of the green house are maintained, water sprinkler, lighting, cooler coils, exhaust fans, heater, pond pump etc.
- Maintain tool control and oversight of all sharps.
- Maintain control of all chemicals, equipment, storage building
- Creates positive working relationships with local venders, service agencies, land scaping company while maintaining records of all purchases and retain receipts for supplies ordered.
- Performs staff on duty responsibilities, ensuring effective operation of therapeutic treatment milieu within structured greenhouse activities and educational groups. Collaborates with departmental staff of clients’ disruptive behaviors, or potential threats to safety of others or themselves.
This is a full-time position that will work Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm.

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Recreational Therapy or other related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical fitness setting is required.
- Prior experience with chemical dependency, eating disorders, trauma and pain.
- Minimum of 3 years of sobriety is required.
- Experience gardener
- Ability to speak with others in order to exchange information and provide counseling.
- Ability to record and proofread information on forms and charts.
- Ability to respond to telephones and hear speech.
- Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data on a regular basis.
