Compensation Range: $38-45/hr.

Compensation is dependent upon education and experience.


Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and initiating the Nursing Care Plan
  • Providing clear and complete client documentation
  • Implementing Physician Orders
  • Counting narcotics daily, logs appropriately
  • Meeting regularly with medical staff to discuss client treatment
  • Providing assessments of medical problems
  • Performing primary first aid and determining need for physician notification
  •  Meeting with each client, completing a daily assessment, taking vital signs and administering all prescription medication
  • Assist with meals, dishes, and bathroom observations 
  • Responsibility for carrying out any orders received from the physician and psychiatrist, and reporting information to the Nurse Administrator, Program Director and Facility Manager
  • Contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process
  • Directing residents in a clear, concise, and informative matter
  • Understanding the therapeutic process and confidentiality laws, and having strong knowledge of professional ethics
  • Demonstrating leadership abilities, with an ability to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds
  • Demonstrating tact, initiative, resourcefulness, a professional manner, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude

Compensation Range: $38-45/hr.

Compensation is dependent upon education and experience.

This full-time (36 hours a week/3 12-hour shifts) position is in-person at our Milwaukee Adult Residential Program. It has a schedule of 7a-7p and is part of a 3-week rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse degree, required   
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred 
  • Experience working in behavioral healthcare, preferred
  • Must hold an unencumbered nursing license in the state of Wisconsin
  • Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire
  • Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
  • Obtain ServSafe certification within 90 day of hire
  • Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing
