Compensation Range: $48-63 per hour

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Job Description

The Nurse Supervisor supervises, heads and coordinates nursing activities and nursing personal. Is responsible for facility regulation compliance in relation to nursing for all facilities they are assigned to supervise. This Supervisor position will oversee and supervise nursing and will be a leader in the facility.                              

Responsibilities                                             

  • Provide staff training in medication management and vitals upon hire
  • Teach abuse prevention
  • On call for med passes when there are call outs or no shows
  • Pass medications when needed
  • Stock and organize PRN meds
  • Perform chart audits weekly
  • Complete pharmacy audits monthly (with outside person)
  • Complete medication error report
  • Obtain admission and discharge orders from doctors
  • Interface with pharmacy for issues/questions
  • Foster open communication and working relationships with doctors
  • Participation in treatment teams as medical representative
  • Supervise all nursing staff and participate in 90-day and annual reviews
  • Will be in charge of developing and maintaining the schedule for nursing
  • Interface with medical referents upon admission and discharge preparation (i.e. PCP, NPs, etc.)
  • Provide medical training to staff as needed
  • Is responsible for orientating each resident to the treatment program, its requirements, intent, and routine.
  • Greets and welcomes new patients within 24 hours of admission, or delegates task to nurse or medically trained staff member
  • Directs patients in a clear, concise, and informative manner
  • Enters appropriate documentation in the patient record after each treatment intervention.
  • Contacts patient family members at the direction of the treatment team to set appointments or educate patients regarding status and/or progress.
  • Is available during non-working hours for consultation.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the treatment team.
  • Familiarizes self with the Philosophy, Mission, goals, and objectives of the Discovery SUD Program
  • Additional responsibilities that are medical in nature deemed necessary by medical leadership or Program Directors.

This is a full-time temporary position that will work as the Night supervisor, 12 hour shifts, 3 days per week from 8am-8:30pm including some weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Nurse with current licensure in the state of employment
  • Bachelors of Nursing preferred
  • Two years’ experience with compliance and personnel management preferred
  • Experience with adult SUD and psychiatric preferred
