Job description

Compensation range is $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience
This is a full time position working Monday through Friday 6:30 am PST - 2:30 pm PST.

The RN Nurse Administrator is responsible for facility regulation compliance - supervises, heads and coordinates nursing activities and nursing personnel. This is a supervisory position and leadership position at the facility.
Responsibilities
- Teach abuse prevention
- On call for med passes when there are call outs or no shows
- Pass medications when needed, stock and organize PRN meds and perform chart audits weekly
- Complete pharmacy audits monthly (with outside person) and medication error report
- Create Nursing Care Plans at admission and as needed thereafter
- Obtain admission and discharge orders from doctors
- Interface with pharmacy for issues/questions
- Supervise all nursing staff and participate in 90-day and annual reviews
- Will be in charge of developing and maintaining the schedule for nursing
- Interface with medical referents upon admission and discharge preparation (i.e. PCP, NPs, etc.)
- Provide medical training to staff as needed
- Is responsible for orientating each resident to the treatment program, its requirements, intent, and routine.
- Educates each resident to the level and point system as well as the disciplinary process
- Monitors all resident progress through the treatment experience, communicates with the treatment team as indicated.
- Required to attend and participate in all treatment planning meetings and treatment review and resident goals setting group.
- Enters appropriate documentation in the resident record after each and every treatment intervention.
- Contacts resident family members at the direction of the treatment team to set appointments or educate residents regarding current status and/or progress.

- Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with a current licensure from an appropriate state licensing board. RN preferred; LVN/LPN required. In programs that employ RN’s, RN licensure is required.
- *In the Eating Division, this position an RN is required.
- Preferred: Experience as a staff nurse, preferably in the field of chemical dependency, eating disorders and/or behavioral health.
- Possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (CPR and First Aid) certification
- Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes, accreditation and regulatory standards, ability to assess clinical care requirements based on nursing principles, scope of practice.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of substance use disorders and addiction, eating disorders and behavioral health.
- Familiar with behavior change, recovery models, and treatment methods
- Knowledge of medications, indications, dosage ranges, side effects, and potential toxicity.
- *Eating Disorder Division: Obtain Serv Safe certification within 90 days of hire.
