Compensation Range: $45-55k per year

The Insurance Verification Supervisor performs clerical functions for patient billing, including verification of insurance information and resolution of problems to ensure a clean billing process. The Insurance Verification Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of 6-10 people.
Responsibilities
- Develops training materials on insurance verification, batch eligibility, and more for the OS verification team as well as other staff within the company that have a part in insurance verifications
- Management of offshore verification team:
- Train new employees and assist with their onboarding process
- Keep track of their working hours, holidays, and sick days
- Listen to their call recordings and provide them with feedback
- Have a weekly team meeting with the OS team
- Oversee the insurance verification and batch eligibility for all 12 locations and 30+ providers
- Verify insurance eligibility for upcoming appointments by utilizing online websites or by contacting the carriers directly
- Review patient deductibles or copays and enter into the chat and provide a VOB form
- Assist front desk staff in understanding carrier websites and verification of eligibility
- Manage and develop solutions in the case of an insurance issue, new insurance policies or training
- Ensure all necessary documents related to insurance are uploaded into the patient’s charts
- Coordinate with patients when necessary, regarding their insurance
- Coordinate with the biller when there is an error in a patient’s chart, billing issues or other billing related questions and announcements
- Coordinate with the credentialing team of any insurance discrepancies or other related issues/questions

- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- 1 year minimum of medical office work or relevant health insurance verification experience
- Knowledge and understanding of health insurance
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
- Has great leadership skills and management skill to manage a team of 6+ people
