Cliffside Malibu is one of the nation’s premier drug and alcohol treatment centers, nestled in the Santa Monica mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California. Compensation Range: $21-25 per hour
Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience.

Supervise patients in the day-to-day activities of the fitness program. Responsible for the overall operation, management and quality of the gym and gym equipment.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients about useful and safe exercises
- Assist patients in achieving exercise goals.
- Assure that patients leave fitness time feeling refreshed and in a positive state of mind.
- Possess the ability to follow directions.
- Submit all work in accordance with deadlines and proper procedure.
- Adhere and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Attend instructor trainings and meetings as required.
- Store and care for all equipment neatly and appropriately, as directed.
- Report broken equipment and maintenance needs.
- Start and finish sessions on time, as scheduled.
- Complete Incident Reports for injuries and/or accidents.
- Educates patients on safe exercise techniques and guidelines.
- Instruct session to the ability of the patient participating.
- Work with patients to achieve exercise goals.
- Maintain a professional attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff members, and patients.
- Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitude.

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, Recreational Therapy or other related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical fitness setting is required.
- Prior experience with chemical dependency, eating disorders, trauma and pain.
- Minimum of 3 years of sobriety is required.
