Compensation Range: $19-22/hr.

Reporting to Director, Assistant Patient Care Tech Supervisor, responsible for the implementation of scheduled patient activities in conjunction with or absence of the supervisor. Responsible for supervising Patient Care Technicians to ensure all department protocols are followed. Acts a liaison between the clinical, leadership, and nursing staff while maintaining an environment which provides safety, ethical practices, and adherence to established protocols and policies. Ensure all staff treat clients with respect, dignity, compassion and care.
Responsibilities
The duties listed below reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principle functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the position.
- Responsible for supervising Patient Care Technicians either in individual meetings or as a group.
- Create the Patient Care Technician schedule and make sure shift has adequate staff coverage.
- Monitor clients at all times including their interactions with each other and during structured and/or unstructured activities.
- Ensure adherence to program protocols.
- Ensure rooms are clean throughout the facility and assignments are completed properly and timely.
- Responding to calls and issues in a timely, efficient manner.
- Use the established chain of command for any issue/emergency.
- Follow schedules set forth by the Director, Patient Care Techs.
- Create training documents for Patient Care Technicians.
- Conduct weekly Patient Care Technician meetings.
- In conjunction with the Director, Patient Care Techs, plan scheduled events for holidays and weekends.
- Attend meetings and provide shift reports with Patient Care Technicians.
- Collaborate with the Director, Patient Care Techs on hiring, discipline and performance issues.
- Create an atmosphere of collaboration, respect, and teamwork.
- Positively promotes Brookdale to prospective clients, families and employees.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Participation in and contribution to staff meetings.
- Observation of shift reporting.
- Random monitoring of any primary job related duty.
- Annual performance appraisals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a Full-time position that will work either 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am.

- Minimum of four (4) years experience working in field of drug and alcohol rehabilitation OR
- Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent OR
- Prior awareness of and exposure to, workings of (AA/NA) self-help groups OR
- Has had training relative to and/or has functioned in, the role of supervisor
- Possesses a knowledge of addiction/recovery principles.
- CPR required within 90 days.
