Job Description

The Alumni Coordinator is responsible for building a relationship with and engaging all clients during admission and post-discharge to foster alumni engagement, continuity of care, and to build alumni support for the facility. The Alumni Coordinator offers support and builds rapport with clients, runs groups with patients, and screens for the need for readmission for clients that are post-discharge. The alumni coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling and executing alumni groups and alumni events. This role focuses on building and maintaining a strong alumni community, organizing events, and ensuring continued engagement of the current clients to foster new alumni support post-discharge. Works closely with the Clinical Director and/or Facility CEO to develop a plans for the event calendar, social media postings, host alumni online and in-person meetings. The Alumni Coordinator is also responsible for growing Alumni referrals and maintaining engagement. 

Responsibilities

  • Outreach to clients throughout their stay at Pinelands to increase engagement in treatment and build interest in participating in alumni services
  • Maintains regular communication with alumni, through a variety of relevant electronic platforms
  • Outreach to clients at regular touchpoints to provide information on alumni services and to facilitate outcome data collection on target indicators
  • Creates and curates content, comments on social media posts, celebrates milestones, etc. 
  • Schedule, promote and execute alumni meetings and events
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date database with contact and demographic information on program alumni
  • Run all scheduled groups as indicated on the group schedule and document group notes in Kipu
  • Utilization of text/SMS technology to outreach to alumni
  • Coordination and promotion of alumni emails & events
  • Regular and accurate tracking and reporting of activities
  • Communicate in sensitive and compassionate manner evidencing thorough understanding of clinical considerations with regard to eating disorders and mental health
  • Familiar with all HIPAA laws and ensure all communication is HIPAA compliant.
  • Works closely with Operations, Clinical, Admissions and Business Development to ensure superior coordination to ensure smooth transitions of alumni returning to treatment
  • Ability to work in a team environment with diverse groups of providers, staff, and alumni is required
  • Timely documentation in Kipu and/or Salesforce

This is a full-time that will work 9a-5p with flexibility for evening and holiday events, when scheduled at our Medford location.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Understanding of and ability to communicate with people of all educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Possesses essential telephone skills, experience navigating multiple social media platforms, and experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other computer applications
  • General office and/or behavioral health environment, minimum 2 years
  • Experience documenting in clinical charts with electronic medical records required
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
